Swedish
This is the most common massage, it is designed to relax and destress your muscles and nervous system causing a parasympathetic response. it involves soft, long, kneading strokes. (this is one to ask for if you just need to unwind and relax).
Deep Tissue
The focus is on all layers of muscle and connective tissue from superficial to the deepest. the strokes are slow and controlled allowing the body's natural release or "give" to happen allowing progressively deeper tissue to be affected.
Myofascial release
Is a safe and very effective technique to release connective tissue that may be causing pain and limited mobility. it involves applying sustained parallel pressure across the myofascial connective tissue allowing the viscoelastic medium (Fascia) to elongate or release.
Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy
This specialized form of deep tissue massage where the practitioner applies focused ischemic compressions or mechanical vacuum on muscular tissue points that are in permanent contracture to attempt to cause a release. The therapist may integrate positional release techniques to achieve required results.
Sports / Range of Motion / Flexibility MET & IS/RI
You and the Therapist will work together during this treatment, during the session the Therapist will have you engage then relax certain muscle groups while performing techniques other times delivering resisting pressure while moving through ROM.
Post OP / Accident & Sports injury / Scar Tissue Release
This type of therapy involves a combination of MET, DSF and TPT. The Therapist will create a treatment plan specifically for your recovery goals.
